The Concept

The three kimonos created for Kaiser Hospital's Main Lobby each represent a different zone of the earth: Sea, Land, and Sky. Airy and light, these kite-like pieces were designed to bring a sense of nature and organic movement indoors.

The Details

Continuing her principle of reuse of materials, Corinne integrated special fabric remnants of opera gowns donated by couture dress designer, Colleen Quen of San Francisco. In addition to these elegant fabrics, a Japanese rice bag printed with a rose and Chinese preserved plum wrappers were used to add subtle texture and patterns.
